Susan C. Baltrus, MS, RNBC, CNE
Biographical Sketch

Susan Baltrus has been affiliated with Central Maine Medical Center College of Nursing and Health Professions since 1979. She began as a faculty member and progressed to Chairperson of Student Affairs, Director of the Nursing Program, and currently serves as President of the College.

Ms. Baltrus received her undergraduate degree from St. Joseph’s College and her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Southern Maine.

She served as Vice-President of the Maine Council of Associate Degree Programs for 1994-1995 and was President of that Council from 1995-1996. In 2003, she was selected as Maine ADN Educator of the Year.

Currently, Ms. Baltrus is in her second term of serving as an educator representative on the Maine State Board of Nursing and also serves as a member of the NCLEX Item Review Committee for the National Council of State Boards of Nursing. Ms. Baltrus has served as an NLNAC site visitor since 2005.
